Men's team
Our club was founded in early 2000 by Jaromir Jungmann, who had played Rugby for Sparta Prague in his youth. The men’s team played it’s first friendly match on June 17, 2000, in Vienna. In autumn of the same year, the team participated in the 2nd Austrian Rugby Bundesliga for the first time.
Trained by coach David Holby, the Rugby Club Linz players participate since the 2018/2019 season in an Upper Austrian selection team (Rugby OÖ/Oberösterreich), which is participating in the Austrian Championship in 10s and 15s Rugby (alongside Hargelsburg, Traunsee and Wels) and also hold their own in the Austrian 7s League.
Training :
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at ASKÖ Bewegungscenter (Hölderlinstr. 26, 4040 Linz), beginners are always welcome.
Youth team
Rugby Club Linz has operated since its existence, intensive youth work. The result of this work are numerous participations in national and international tournaments, championship participations and convocations in the Austrian youth national teams.
In the area of youth rugby (U6 to U18), the primary aim is to introduce children to the sport in a playful and fun way. In all age groups, trained trainers work with national (BSPA instructor and instructor) and international (World Rugby Level 1 and 2) diplomas with children and adolescents.

Women's team
Since the summer of 2012, the women’s team of Rugby Club Linz rolls twice a week through mud, dust and snow to be able to compete in the tournaments of the Austrian Women’s 7s Development Series. Training is done together with the men and the youth, in the spirit of rugby sport. Integrity, solidarity and respect for each other are a priority – as well as the enjoyment of the movement and the formation of long-lasting friendships.
